Meram Residences
Description
Designed by KO & PARTNERS, Meram Residences is a 132-villa residential project in Meram, Konya, reinterpreting the traditional spatial and cultural values of the Konya house through a contemporary architectural lens. Inspired by the symbolic “cümle kapısı” of traditional homes, the project revives inward-oriented living with layered privacy, inner courtyards, and a rich indoor-outdoor spatial experience.
The project brings together different villa typologies designed for families of varying sizes and life stages. Each home is carefully positioned across the natural topography to preserve views, daylight, privacy, and neighborly balance, while inward-facing courtyards, outward-opening gardens, open sightlines, and pedestrian paths create a seamless relationship with nature and community life.
Beyond its 132 residential units, Meram Residences supports the social structure of the region with generous green zones, open and semi-open playgrounds, shared courtyards, pedestrian paths, and community spaces designed especially for women and children. The project stands as a bridge between heritage and future — a living archive of architectural memory shaped for contemporary life.
